District Boundary

The Northwest Fire Protection District boundary runs along the east bound traffic lanes of Latham Road ending at the Rock River.  It follows the river south to the north side of Bauer Parkway, running along the road to North Main St. It extends from North Main St, south to Elmwood Rd and follows Elmwood Rd to Owen Center Rd.  Properties that are not annexed into the City of Rockford along Elmwood Rd are covered by Northwest Fire Protection. The Boundary follows Owen Center Rd south to Halsted Rd.  It then follows Halsted Rd to Searles Avenue as far as the 2901 Searles Complex. The boundary continues south on Central Ave to Kilburn and then moves west to Safford Rd.  Some areas along Safford are covered by Northwest Fire Protection as the boundary extends to Meridian Rd.  The boundary follows the northbound lanes of Meridian Rd to Latham Rd.
